This report is based on Kitui Learning Studio, a joint project implemented by the Centre for Urban Research and Innovations (CURI), University of Nairobi and Shack/Slum Dwellers International (SDI)-Kenya, in collaboration with County Government of Kitui and residents of various informal settlements in Kitui Town. The project was implemented under a collaborative programme of SDI and the Association of African Planning Schools (AAPS) that aims to promote initiatives, plans and policies which encourage pro-poor and inclusive cities and towns in Africa.
