Wilberforce Onyango

Federation national leader

Wilberforce is a national federation leader of Muungano wa Wanavijiji since the year 2000. He is a community mobilizer from Kibera slums and initially joined Muungano wa Wanavijiji as a data collector. He encourages groups to understand the importance of savings and also facilitates entrepreneurship training. Over time, he has gained valuable experience in community sensitization. Some of his contributions to Muungano wa Wanavijiji activities include participation in the Mukuru Special Planning Area, formation of Ward Climate Change Planning Committees, and strengthening groups' capacities. Wilberforce is deeply passionate about the well-being of the community, especially in the development of various informal settlements. His goal is to establish a strong and vibrant movement that will help eradicate poverty and bring about positive change.
