Jacob Omondi
Federation national leader
Jacob Omondi is a Muungano Wa Wanavijiji National Federation leader from Mathare. He has been a member of the federation since 2021. Jacob has been a champion for the Mathare Special Planning Area since 2019, providing support through documentation, mobilization, and training. He is also part of the Know Your City TV documentation team, focusing on writing and training other youths. Jacob actively participated and contributed to the formation of the Ward Climate Change Planning Committee. Additionally, he is part of the Know Your City team, involved in settlement profiling and data collection, with knowledge in data collection and analysis. He has received numerous awards, including The President's Award for advocating for young people's space in governance in Kenya, the Ruka Leadership Program by Pamoja Initiative, and recognition for Humanitarian service by the Divinity Foundation. His goal is to see young people creating stories through videos, pictures, and blogs that bring positive change to their various communities.
