Anastacia Wairimu

Federation national leader and Chair of the Board, Akiba Mashinani Trust

Anastacia is a national federation leader of Muungano wa Wanavijiji from Kahawa Soweto. She also serves as the chairlady of Akiba Mashinani Board and works as an Early Child Development teacher and Community Health Volunteer. She has been a member of Muungano wa Wanavijiji since 1996. Facing eviction threats in Kahawa Soweto motivated her to become a land activist. She is particularly passionate about savings, community sensitization, and mobilization. Anastacia's expertise includes theology, leadership, community health, and entrepreneurship skills. Her involvement in Muungano wa Wanavijiji activities includes the Mukuru Special Planning Area, Kiandutu resettlement, participation in the KISIP project in Kahawa Soweto, and supporting the establishment of Nakuru Housing Cooperative in Nakuru county. Her goal is to foster generational engagement from kids to elderly individuals, collectively addressing local challenges faced in their communities.
